Let's Talk Teenagers is an opportunity for you as a parent or guardian of a teenager(s) to hear about the challenges young people are facing today, and the tools you can use to support your children and community.

You will hear about a wide number of topics, whilst also being offered tips and techniques and sources to go to for help and support.

These topics include:

• drugs and alcohol

• body image

• mental health

• social risks

• peer pressure

The sessions will be based on the principles of offering support and guidance at the earliest opportunity to enable your child to have healthy relationships. There are 3 sessions, each 90 minutes, and delivered online. The sessions will be run on consecutive weeks starting on the 8th March 2022 at 7pm.

Week 1 - How current community issues affect family life

Week 2 - Respectful relationships

Week 3 - Family strengthening

A parent who joined previous sessions said:

“I wasn’t sure what to expect, as sometimes online events can be difficult to follow and not always relevant to questions I have.”

“This one was really punchy and interesting. I was able to impress my son with things I knew better than him and we were able to compare notes! I will recommend the new one you are doing to my friends.”

The project has been funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, The Safer Devon Partnership, South Devon and Dartmoor Community Safety Partnership and Teignbridge Council for voluntary Service.
